Some marriage thoughts…
Some marriage thoughts…
When getting a marriage invitation, the first thing I search is the time of reception. Why? What about the marriage function, the bride, the bridegroom, etc. Simply not interested in them. And yes, will pass on through the names, to confirm if the food will be vegetarian or non-veg. That’s it. Why?
But I have felt I am not alone in this business. I have seen many waiting at the doors for it to be open and rush to the dining tables. Much worse than those standing in queue for movie tickets. Then leaving the place silently. Some others hurry for a snap with the couple. Show off to the maximum. Or its part of marriage too. Going for a marriage needs present for some. Otherwise they feel to be small infront of others. But whats the need of a present? As a token of love? Or is it a return for what you received earlier? Nothing is better than a handshake and a usual line: “Wish you a happy married life.”
Going for an uninvited marriage was unthinkable for me…Rediculous. But when the stomach alarmed much in hunger, I had entered the dragon some times. Sitting silent, watchful and eating fast. But its not good to be a wedding crasher. If you start enjoying it, you may feel to repeat it.
Now I get invitation for the marriages of my classmates. Those ones who were in my class with all the joy and fun, with all the childishness in eyes and tender hearts… They getting married. Isn’t sign for my ageing too. Now they turn bride/bridegroom, soon they turn parent… The image of a classmate to a parent. Time runs bloody too fast.
